In general, for foreigners residing or staying in domiciles other than hotels, they or the persons who are accommodating them must, within 24 hours after the foreigner's arrival, go through the registration formalities with the public security organ at the place of residence.

China PSB and Police Station for Foreigner Lodging Non-hotel

In China, foreighers lodging in any accommodation amenities, you must make registration in PSB (Gong An Ju).

And if lodging in hotel, the hotel check-in system is linking with PSB 24 hours and finish the registration processing automaticly.

If lodging other amenities than hotel, then the amenities owner will make the registration processing with your documents info in PSB agency (Paichusuo).

If in a small town or village, you and the accommodation amenities owner, directly go to PSB agency for lodging registration.

If necessary, you can make registration online with QR code.

In general, your lodging registeration in PSB must finished within 24 hours after check-in.
